Red Grandis Deck

Red Grandis (Eucalyptus grandis) is a plantation-grown hardwood with warm pink to light reddish-brown tones and a predominantly straight grain. It accepts stains well and provides an attractive timber finish for decks, pergolas and outdoor features.

Oiling and sealing: Red Grandis can be oiled or finished with a compatible penetrating exterior timber sealer. For exposed decking, a penetrating decking oil enhances the grain and helps limit moisture absorption. Somerset Timbers recommends oiling its Red Grandis decking and advises against surface-film sealers and varnishes. Regular cleaning and recoating, following the chosen product’s instructions, help maintain the finish and protection.
